Hi All..

Ive tried once before on the old forum to get Acarsd Running on my PC. but im still having no luck.

I bought the lead to connect the Scanner to the PC and ive got the software.

Im picking up nothing.

Any Help will be really appreciated as im starting to tear my hair out, lol..

Have you got the right freqency?

Here's a list:

Acars Frequencies:

131.550 Primary Channel worldwide
129.125 Additional channel for USA & Canada
130.025 Secondary channel for USA and Canada
130.425 Additional channel for USA
130.450 Additional channel for USA & Canada
131.125 Additional channel for USA
131.450 Primary channel for Japan
131.475 Air Canada company channel
131.525 European secondary (Used Over Ireland)
131.725 Primary channel in Europe (Used Over Ireland)
136.700 Additional channel for USA
136.750 Additional channel for USA
136.800 Additional channel for USA
136.900 European secondary
136.850 SITA North American Frequency
136.750 New European frequency
131.850 New European frequency

I did have some freq already but thats helped on the Freq side of things. umm but no im still not picking anything up.

Its dead...

Ok, i think it has something to do with your squelch.
Take a look at the link (above) they know what's what with ACARS.

HI Cillian,

No i didnt. Another thing thats been driving me mad lately.

Im not a technophobe. I get on well with Computers knowing them quite well. But the Squawkbox and this seem to have me beaten. :confused:

Im starting to give up, but there is a part of me thats intreeged to find out what they are like.

Just for your Information, when i run the ACARSD program i start to get a Buzzing from through my speakers. and it wont stop :confused:

Not too sure, but that could be the squelch.
If it is, turn off the volume of your speakers and if you don't think it is, I'd say look in other places because it's a very strange problem.
Keep at squawkbox though. Well worth it in the end. Trust me ;)
